ITmanager.net 7.0 – Released

Improved Windows Management, new VMware Console and Hyper-V

We are very excited to announce the release of ITmanager.net 7.0 with lots of new features and improvements to make managing your servers faster and easier.

Windows management has been massively improved. We now perform PowerShell and LDAP connections directly from the device, no longer requiring our Enterprise Server to be installed before managing a Windows Server on your network. You can also use either your own VPN client or our built-in SSL VPN client to connect to your servers. The ITmanager.net Enterprise Server for managing Windows servers is now optional, but it still provides 2 key benefits. The first is it provides you with a built-in VPN if you don’t already have one, and the second is that it provides monitoring of servers behind your firewall without opening any ports in the firewall.

We also improved VMware management. We now support connecting to the VMware Console, so you can see the console of any VM and control the keyboard and mouse from your phone. We also added editing VM settings such as Memory, CPU and Name as well as several other performance improvements.

We have also added similar features for Hyper-V including editing CPU, Memory and Names. We also added lots of extra fields to the Hyper-V VM screen including more memory and replication information. You can now also view all of the VM’s in a Hyper-V cluster, as well as control Replication statuses.

Customers should have received the 7.0 update automatically, but if you did not you can download it from your App Store.

We also recently rolled out In-App-Purchasing on iOS devices. You can now purchase a subscription to the app directly from the Apple App Store instead of our website. If you are interested in Android In-App-Purchasing please let us know and we can also add that to our next release.
